Modus Entertainment is a small independent publishing business. We design and publish puzzle and activity books for adults, and we make everything in them ourselves — the puzzles, the illustrations and the layout. Our books are printed and sold through Amazon.

Our first title is out now, and further volumes are in production.

Kakuro is a number puzzle solved by logic rather than arithmetic — if you can solve a Sudoku, you can learn it in a few minutes. This book pairs it with something no other puzzle book offers: behind every one of the 120 grids sits an original full-page illustration, drawn in black and white so it can be coloured in. Solve it, colour it, or both.

Every grid was generated by our own software and individually checked to have exactly one valid solution. None of them appear in any other book. Full solutions are included.

What we are working on

Intermediate and Expert volumes of the Kakuro series are in production, along with a separate line of colouring books. Modus Entertainment publishes puzzles, activity books and games; everything we release is made in-house.
