Modus Entertainment is an independent publishing business. We create and publish books, which are sold through third-party retail platforms, primarily Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). This policy explains what information we collect and how it is handled.

No purchases happen here

We do not operate a store, checkout, or payment system on any website we control. All book purchases take place on Amazon's own platform. Amazon collects and processes your payment details, shipping information, and account data under Amazon's Privacy Notice. We never receive or store your payment card details. Sales information we receive from Amazon is aggregated and anonymous — royalty and unit-sales reporting that does not identify individual customers.

Information we may collect

• Site analytics. Pages we host may record standard, non-identifying usage data such as page views, referring site, approximate region, browser type, and device type. This is used only to understand general interest in our books.
• Social media insights. When you view, like, follow, save, or comment on our content on platforms such as Pinterest, Instagram, or Facebook, those platforms provide us with aggregated statistics (for example, impression and engagement counts). This data comes from the platform, is governed by that platform's own privacy policy, and we do not combine it with any other information.
• Email correspondence. If you contact us by email, we retain your message and address solely to reply to you.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not run advertising trackers or build advertising profiles. We do not operate a mailing list or send marketing email. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Cookies

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Any cookies present are strictly those required by our hosting provider (GitHub Pages) to deliver the page.

Third-party services

We rely on third parties whose own privacy policies apply to the data they handle: Amazon KDP (book sales and distribution), GitHub Pages (website hosting), and the social media platforms where we publish content, including Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook.

Your rights

You may ask us what information we hold about you, request a copy of it, or request its deletion. Because we hold very little personal data — generally only email correspondence — such requests are usually simple to fulfil. Email us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
